Here I sit upon my cloud in Heaven
Kicking the dancing air around my bare feet
My wings behind me flutter lightly
As a cool wind passes

Bitter whispers scatter around
Spreading like wildfire in the kingdom
Their eyes burn as they stare
At the sinner before them

They know the truth

They have banished me
Thrown me from the paradise
I once was a part of
Rattling the golden gates viciously
Holding on to what I have left

They burn my fingertips
Only those who are pure can touch

The veils that shroud God
Opens beneath me
Clouds disperse
I descend, falling and falling
I do not call out
But continue my journey to Earth

My flight is over
As my body strikes the gravel
My Angel wings shatter
My body sears with pain
I... have become.... human

Clouds that use to grasp glimmers of eclipse and stars
Now usher storms and lightning
Am I a imperfection to their perfection?
A disgrace to their graceful ways?
No longer worthy to walk in Heaven

Dim lit figures crowd around me
Glaring down overwhelming me
Arms crossed over their chests
Ashamed? Repulsed? Disgusted?
I mutter with a shaking breath
I am sorry for what I have become

This was inspired by life, as it sums up what im going through and how i feel right now. It tells the experience of an Angel in Heaven being condemmed for what they have become ...

This was beautiful and fragile and heartbreaking all at the same time. You are clearly a talented writer, my friend. I can't help but feel that this ended on a much too melancholy note. I just want to give you a great big hug after reading this!
